Caroline is a non-practising Solicitor with over 25 years’ experience in the legal profession. During that time Caroline predominantly dealt with civil litigation matters to include personal injury and clinical negligence claims before latterly focusing her efforts on social care matters such as continuing healthcare funding, local authority funding, Section 117 funding (under the Mental Health Act) and various other aspects of social care.
Stephanie has a nursing background, having obtained a Health and Social Care Degree before becoming an Assistant Practitioner at an NHS Hospital and, thereafter, a Senior Discharge Coordinator undertaking NHS Continuing Healthcare Assessments. Stephanie remained in this position for 3 years, after which she obtained a Law Degree with a view to assisting those who did not have the ability to challenge continuing healthcare issues on their own.
Susan is a non-practising Solicitor, prior to which she provided care in the community as well as in residential nursing homes before working for Mencap as a night carer for the disabled. Susan then moved towards Accountancy before obtaining a Law Degree and practiced in a law firm for almost 9 years, predominantly in the family department attending Court to represent clients in respect of divorce and childcare issues (both private and public law). Susan’s experience in both the care and legal industries has given her invaluable insight about social welfare issues.
Julie has worked in the legal sector for over 20 years and is a qualified Chartered Legal Executive dealing historically with contested litigation cases prior to joining our team. Julie’s role is to support the Advocates and their clients during the conduct of the case, and has a clear understanding of the challenges being faced by families who are dealing with care funding problems.
